Pharmaceutical Industry. Is pharamceutical sales the only way to enter the business aspect of pharmaceuticals?
skuandle asked:
I have a BSc in Biological Sciences but do not want to pursue research and have been interested in the business aspect of pharmaceutical industry. Besides doing sales, is there other way to enter the business aspect of the industry? And “climb” the ladder? I realised a lot of upper management in pharmaceuticals have nearly always started from sales, if not research

How can you manage people and direct them to do their work if you have never done their job nor have the educational background in management?
You can’t.
That is why you need to start at the bottom and work your way up…a new grad doesn’t start at the top.
You can go directly to the Pharmaceutical Companies individual websites and they all have a Career Section that will allow you to see what type of opportunities are “inside” the company. Many are entry level positions in Marketing or Product Managment. At least it is a starting point.
